What are your views on retaking a 172? I'd like to attend HYS and am applying straight out of undergrad with a 3.97 GPA. I was PTing at 176-180 for the last 10 tests under test conditions and performed to my expectations in LG and LR, but got my ass handed to me by that one RC section. Would it be worth it to have another shot at a higher score, or would retaking seem borderline neurotic? No special softs.

Thanks!
Take your great score and high LSAT and go to law school. Jesus christ.

Thanks for the replies. I read on these forums that the median is an important mark to hit; seeing that my 172 is below H&Y's median, would retaking and scoring a few points higher drastically help my chances? Or would the risks outweigh the benefits?

Thanks.

I'm retaking a 172. But I've got a 3.25 for any few points make a big deal.

What school are you trying to get into that you are retaking a 172?
