Thoughts on Prep Test 62?

Post by Excel » Sun Jun 19, 2011 3:59 am

What are peoples thoughts on prep test 62? I just took it and found it soooooo much harder than usual. There were about 18-20 LR I genuinly did not know (compared to 3-4) and the window color logic game straight up made no sense.

Am I just an idiot today or did other people find this as well...and for those june guys....was that one as tough?

PT62 was very hard, but I ended up getting only a few more Qs wrong than average, and because of the generous scale, I ended up getting a scaled score around my average. I agree it had extremely difficult LR and LG.

On the one hand, I would say, it is a hard, or actually tricky, test. Evidence: 170 curve= -14. On the other hand, I dont think it is much harder than the others, coz beside the curve, its scale is quite close to those in other allegedly easier tests.

Echoing what other people said, I found Prep Test 62 much, much harder than average. When I took it studying for June I got creamed, and I knew it. I got a much lower than average score, even with the generous curve. June felt much, much easier. If you got a low score on 62 don't let it throw your confidence. I think the general consensus from what I read was that it was much more difficult overall than others.

This was actually the test I used for mock exp. sections, so I don't have a feel for the test as a whole, but my score was on the lower end of my range. Given that the curve was exceedingly generous, I would say that Test 62 is more difficult, but the curve makes up for it.

I am apparently a freak. That was my highest PT at a 178, which I think was -4 IIRC.

I felt this test was much harder with LG than normal. Definitely was one of the wonkiest tests of the modern era.

I took it as a real test in december, and left thinking I wouldn't be going to law school.

It was tough, but the curve made up for it.

+1. Took this as my last pt for June (Oct. retake) and ended on a high note. Scored a couple points higher than my pt average and was going through it wishing I had taken in in December.
