I have seen on these forums that when studying for your LSAT 4 hours a day works for a lot of people. Now I am also registered for the Testmasters course that starts august first and runs through late September. the course is 4 hours and I want to know if I should spend an extra 4 hours on top of the course or the 4 hours in the course will suffice for the day?

You're going to have to spend a significant amount of time outside of class as well. This time will be used to complete homework assignments (which get to be quite lengthy) and to take practice tests. After having completed the TM program recently myself, I recommend you spend time outside of class taking PTs as well and thoroughly reviewing them in order to gain the most. After the first half or so of the class, I would definitely recommend this and this will probably mean that you won't be able to finish all of the homework at this point, but I think my time would have been better spent doing some homework and then extensive review the rest of the time.

I mean the class meets on m,w, and sunday and ends at 10. I mean after class would it be smart to study another 4 hours or should I wait till the next day when i don't have class so I don't overload?

Just from what I have picked up around here, an aditional 4 hrs after the class would probably be unecessary. If it were me I would maybe do an extra hr, maybe 2 after class to go over what caught you up that day. Then on off days study longer.
