Chance of remembering old tests?

Post by *Ari* » Thu Apr 28, 2011 3:41 pm

Just wondering what are my chances of remembering an old test if I took it almost 3 months ago to this day? I am just curious because I ended up with a 164 on PT 47, but that's quite a bit higher than my previous high of 158.

There will probably be some subconscious (if not conscious) influence on the test - this is the exact concept of "jogging your memory", after all.

If possible, I'd stay away from repeats as much as you can and discount the repeated scores.

(For what it's worth, I repeated 2 exams, which were +7 and +6 over my PT average, and improvements of double digits both times.)

That would really depend on your memory.... I'm sure there are some folks that can remember almost all the questions they've seen, while others may forget them as soon as they move onto the next section in the test

Eff. I am running out of higher tests, as I plan on saving 3 to take in the later weeks right before I write the exam, hence the repeat.

I remember the questions and sometimes the wrong answer jumps at me.

I retook my Oct 2010 exam right before the Feb test and vaguely remembered the topics from RC but not enough to actually remember the answers

I would say tests in the 20s and 30s would be as beneficial as repeating the late 40s and 50s.

However, if you took, say, 26 and (retake) 49 as your next two, and your scores were pretty similar, I wouldn't be too worried about which is better for you.
