Working as a freelance LSAT tutor

I was wondering if anyone had any experience doing this. I live in a college town where I'm sure the demand for a tutor is semi-high, but I never see any ads on campus or on craigslist for anything other than the standard test prep companies. I'm not looking to do this full time, just on the side. Any tips?

I used craigslist and it has worked for me. Also the biggest factor to success is not how good your plans or methods are but making your students feel that you are absolutely indispensable to their LSAT success.

Do you live in a major city with multiple universities? I am wondering if only having one university might hinder my efforts. Also, did you just use craigslist or did you employ other advertising methods?

I live in LA and right next to USC although only one of my students are USC students at the moment. I advertised solely via craigslist.
