Advantages to taking the June LSAT

I've heard law schools have rolling admissions, but I've also heard a lot of law schools don't start really reviewing most applications until after they get back from winter break. Does anyone know if there is validity to this? If I believe I can improve my score by a few points is it worth waiting until October to take it? Or it there that much of a benefit to taking it early that the extra points wouldn't be much of an advantage in comparison? Thank you so much in advance. I've heard so much about this test and just wanted to clear the air.

I would take it in October if you don't feel adequately prepared for the June test. Higher LSAT score > early application.

Thanks so much that's what I figured. I meant to start studying earlier but family and employment issues got in the way so now I definitely think I'd do better with the extra time.
