Confusion about Method of reasoning questions

Must the correct answer choice give a complete description of the reasoning process?
The LR bible seems to imply so.
For example if the stimulus says A, B, C therefore, D
Can the correct answer choice say only B and C therefore D.
Thanks for any input

Yes, depending on the question. If the question asks for a method the passage uses, then a partial description can be correct. I can remember specific stimuli in which only a single sentence used a metaphor, and TCR was that the author uses a metaphor.

But if the question asks how the author structures the passage, then the answer would have to be holistic.
