Why is B the correct answer?

Don't post the entire question. LSAC's lawyers get all jittery when you do that.

What is it that is confusing you about B? Are you finding another answer more attractive? If so, why? What is your thinking here?

B is correct because although the stones used in the monument might be very old (and have been used to build other structures in the past), it doesn't mean that that particular monument the stimulus is referring to was in fact build in that time of the stone's original trimming.

Think recycling....

The metal in the coke can I drake yesterday is 20 years old. However, since I drank it yesterday, it must have been made yesterday.

Do you see the flawed logic there? I know that example was a little backward, but you should get the idea.

Ohhhh, I see it now. I was under the impression that the monument was built as a product of the triming of the rock. But, the rocks used to build the monument could have been older than the monument. Is that right?
