Should I retake? 156 3.89

So I studied for about 6 months, pretty consistently and was averaging 166.8 on my PTs. Felt really good going through the exam, as I had taken a BluePrint course, went through the bibles, and had done about every test. On test day: 156.

Kind of an embarrassing story but I was hoping for some advice. I have pretty bad anxiety and, coupled with that, IBS. During section 2, I couldn't control my bowels and, well, I had an accident. I was hoping no one would notice, but the proctor asked me to leave and come back. So I missed quite a few on that section, and really couldn't recover and ended up bombing it.

I know I should retake but I'm so burnt out and disappointed. I don't know if I should retake or not. I'm a URM if that helps. Thanks, I really appreciate it.

Re take. You got sick during the test. Make sure you can control or manage your symptoms and aim for the june or october exam. You have a great gpa. a few more points ( which you would have earned if you didnt have to leave and come back) will dramatically change your options for the better. Best of luck!

Sorry to hear that all happened to you. I think you should definitely retake it though. I would also try and see your doctor beforehand--see if there is anything he or she can give to help you to control your anxiety and IBS. I wish you the best of luck :)

Most certainly. Don't waste that GPA. I'd have smothered a midget to have had an UG GPA like that.

I sympathize with the OP, considering they had to alt because someone made a thread about this same exact incident.

Always retake with a high GPA and a low score.

I personally find all the IBS jokes to be very crude, ignorant and insensitive. You should read an article about IBS and then you will realize that it's not so funny: http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/irrita ... me/DS00106

P.S. And no I do not have IBS--I just think enough is enough with the teasing and rude comments towards the OP.

Why do you think the OP is concerned? Because they're a flame? Or because they're a troll? I don't entirely understand the difference personally.

I honestly didn't think the OP was a flame or a troll. I think that they legitimately have IBS. I just didn't think the jokes were funny.

Definitely retake.

And if you want to use Blueprint materials to study (especially the video course), send me a PM and we'll get you a discount on it since you already took the course and have a legitimate medical excuse for your first score.
