Best LSAT Prep Course Forum

What is the best lsat prep course? Please recommend the prep course, you guys have tried or know somebody who have.

My stock response is that it depends more on the particular instructor than on the company involved. The number one thing to do is find out about the instructors for courses you might be interested in: a newbie is likely to be worse than an experienced instructor in general, and a rock star instructor will generally be sold by whoever you're talking to as a rock star ("He has 5 years of experience, gets rave reviews from his students, helps us train new instructors," blah blah).

Other considerations:
* Location (or online)
* Price (with any discounts — test prep gets discounted like airplane tickets)
* Class size
* In-person help outside of class with your own teacher vs. a dial-in helpline
* Guarantees (what happens if you need to retake the test/course?)
* Online materials (recorded lessons, etc.)

Things that are generally assumed for all major test prep companies:
* A well-trained instructor with a high real score (if the company wavers on this, it's sketchy)
* Access to all released LSATs (if the company doesn't provide this, don't go for it)

Wow, kurst - haven't seen anyone compile and organize that many threads on the topic. You've done an incredible service.

"Which prep course is best, generally speaking" is an age-old question on these forums without a definitive correct answer. People who've taken a course they liked simply tend to recommend that course.

Whatever you decide, try to sit in on a sample class with the instructor you'd have for the course.

+1 on tomwatts' response as well.

Well I asked one question concerning the particular material in this forum. The other was just mention within my forum in helping a friend in logical reasoning. Thought to ask the question in this forum after posting the first.

Anyway did a search again.....and guess what no posts or topics concerning test sherpa's review.

Due to such little knowledge and use, decided not to add material within our group.

You asked a question when everybody was busy responding to a different question posed by OP. Heck I didn't realize that until this second post of yours (I had assumed you were referring to the question "which LSAT prep is best").

Honestly I have not heard of Test Sherpa and they seem pretty small/unknown. Make a separate thread about it rather than burying your question in a thread that is only tangentially related and you are more likely to get a response considering it is something that hasn't been answered before. That being said, I wouldn't hold your breath considering it is small and thus you are unlikely to have too many people who've tried it.

No problem, my mistake too. I think you said that they were cheap? I mean even if they do suck, if they don't cost much you aren't really losing that much.
