Retake for a third time?

My first LSAT was a 155 in June and was thrilled with my December test which was a 161. This time I was way more prepared and less nervous with the exam. 161 was about two points below my pt avg. that ranged from 160-168. My gpa is a 3.72 and as a CA native I would love to attend UC Hastings or UC Davis and if not then USan Diego, Pepperdine, or Loyola. I think getting 1-3 more points would put me on target for the schools I want and even $$ at the other three. How would another retake look? would it be worth it?

Totally fine. If you know you can get higher, go for it. When you start retaking for than 3 times you have to petition and the schools might look at it weird, but I'd say retake it.

Retake. Study hard, get that average up high and sky's the limit!

probably need to raise your pt average to justify retaking

Agree that your PT average should be above 163 to justify retaking a 161.
