From what I hear, its a scale not a curve. The curve determines score to percentile. The scale determines score to raw score.

It's cool. But a thread like the one you described might be helpful. It's probably better to have a thread with a link to the LSAC website so nobody can say 'This isn't official'.SchopenhauerFTW wrote:Considering it began with 'from what I hear', that should have been obvious to me. Sorry.
This is for people who don't know the difference.3|ink wrote:I was being sarcastic.SchopenhauerFTW wrote:Maybe not this thread itself, but something that will stop people from fighting about how the curve is determined.Attorney wrote:3|ink wrote:This should be stickied.

I'm pretty sure this guy has been banned once for creating stupid threads. I guess he created a new account. I believe in second chances, but this thread is sketchy.kkklick wrote:I think OP has shown great prowess in his ability to differentiate between scales and curves. I am not that guy, just showing how the curve is used, and what term people are typically searching for, scale.SchopenhauerFTW wrote:My god that poster has been doing that since June. I'll bet he was IP banned, but not permanently. I'm just going off hearsay here, but I think they use perma-ban sparingly.kkklick wrote:That is why IP bans are more effective.3|ink wrote:I'm pretty sure this guy has been banned once for creating stupid threads. Why all the ban talk? I post relevant and good information here and I get ban talked.3|ink wrote:I'll bet he was IP banned, but not permanently.
