Dec 2010 Cancelation advice

Hi All,

I am new to the forum and apologize if I am posting in the wrong place or if a similar topic was answered.

I just took the Dec 2010 lsat and feel that I did poorly and feel that canceling the score would be a good idea. However, I canceled in June 2010.

So that would be 2 sequential cancels if I pull the trigger.

The Dec test went so much better than June, I had the LG section last and bombed it. Missing around 10 points on that section alone. The other sections were a solid effort without any red flags I can think of.

My question is how bad would it look to have cancel, cancel, score vs. cancel, low score, higher score?

My gpa is 2.17 when converted to lsdas, so its 170 or bust. No noteworthy softs, I am a minority but of the over-represented variety.

Any advice is appreciated, feel free to be as frank as needed, thanks.

This answer really depends. Do the schools that you are applying to take the highest LSAT? If so, leave the score because you might be genuinely surprised at your score. If the schools that you are applying to average then cancel. 2 cancels + high score > a low score + cancel + high score BUT only for schools that average.

Now.... where's Northwood the cancel guru when we need him..?

If you took the LSAT like the rest of us last saturday, yes it's too late to cancel. I don't know how your LR and RC skills are, but to miss -10 in LG out of only 23 questions leaves you possibly only 4 or less questions out of 79 you can get wrong to get a 170. Tough break just keep out hope that you killed the other sections.

unless you took the test as a sabbath tester- you cant cancel. Friday was the last day to cancel, so you are stuck with the score. Look on the bright side- at least you will know what question types you got wrong, and will have the opportunity to scrutinize your test taking strategy to actual results, and can use this as a learning experience. Best of luck on your next test. June would be your best bet- since you really need to compensate for your gpa, and apply super early next cycle

Thank you all for your input.

I suppose its a blessing in disguise that I waited too long to cancel. I will use the score report to help me prepare for round 3.

Thanks again.
