Support thread for those whose Earth has just been shattered

I thought there was no way I'd get lower than a 160 and I was wrong, dead-wrong. I couldn't open my eyes for a few minutes and I was devastated. I thought about going to a low-ranked school in NY or waiting until next year to apply.

If anyone else is in an immense amount of pain, feel free to share.

I'm here. Although, I was only one point below my prediction and about 1.5 points below my pt average. But I felt so good after the test so I am still dissappointed.

I'm seriously starting to think the curve on this was like a -4 or something. Don't worry though.. you can always retake. Don't let yourself get down.

I scored lower than my cold diagnostic, despite taking a PS class, seeing a tutor and doing hours and hours of prep.

The emesis I had, that morning, and my cough during the test must have been far more of a challenge than I thought.

I don't even know what to say.

I'm happy for your good score, Patriot, but I am sorry you're disappointed.

t14, that's the funny thing; I was the one who kept talking about a huge curve. All I can say is, I have 6 weeks to get to the point where I say "Screw the curve, it's all on me".

What was it Dave?

I need to start breathing, I feel a headache coming on.

Sorry to hear that, JurisDoctorate. I'm still waiting on my score.

Me too. I don't know what to do now. Cry? Drink? Register for December?

Here. Same score as last time. Not going to get me in anywhere with money. Don't know what to do.

Thanks artesia, best of luck to you.

I'm sorry, natalie. 6 weeks to prep and guarantee that you don't have to feel this way again.

I don't know what the hell happened on mine....I scored a whole 26 points below my pt's. Not sure if I should retake or just give up all together.

My world isn't shattered. With my GPA and my awesome resume, I am hoping I can still get into my top choice school with my 160. I am still disappointed though, because it makes me feel stupid that I can't get the rockstar scores that happen all over this board. I've always felt like a smart person, school is easy for me, but the LSAT just makes me feel like an idiot.

Maybe you mis-bubbled a section? That really sucks, I'm sorry. I'm sure you'll do better on the retake.

Sounds like a misbubble, look at your chart when you see it and ask for a hand score if you see a discrepancy.

I improved my score by 6 points...but my last score sucked. And my new one kinda sucks to. Ugh.

Re-take. Scoring 26 below PT's is a fluke...or horrible anxiety, and in that case go see a doctor.

here.

May still have a chance at my old targets with an ED, but I'm also considering retaking in Dec.

What do you guys think of EDing with this score and retaking in Dec? EDIT: To have a shot at my old reaches

I understand that isn't the score you wanted, but please get a grip. Retake if you need to. Relax.

Me. I did terribly. Not prepping enough and cramming at the last minute when panic finally set in was a terrible idea but I thought that I might be able to pull it off anyhow. No such luck - debating about December now. Waiting to start law school until fall of 2012 just seems too far away - need to buckle down and pull off December.

Ugh.

I am absolutely shattered.

I have basically been studying for this for a year now. I would say clearly I'm just not smart enough, but that's not true. I am. And I should have scored 170+, not worse than I did in June. And I can't take it a 3rd time. I've already sent in my apps because I was banking on a 172.

I got a 168. My world has not been shattered, but it was lower than I wanted and not a score I want to apply with. So I will be retaking again...and try to figure out what went wrong. Instead of a class I'll go for self studying and a few hours of private tutoring.
