Most people ask this before they buy things.

I personally sucked at RC getting about -12 on average in the beginning. Just find out what method works for you and constantly do a whole bunch of PT's. Don't think that huge RC Bible will really help. Your brain will adjust to your speed reading [learn how to speed read btw] and by the end I was getting between -4 and -7. Still my weakest section, ugh..

You can read a detailed review on RC Bible here.

I personally bought this although lots of people have negative thoughts on it and am working through it. Most of Chapter 1-2 are same things you could learn from other bibles. I cannot say too much about it yet since I am still in progress. Find threads on RC strategies for more helpful tips using the search function on the bottom of this forum page.

I worked through the RC bible and while it was nothing life changing I think it helped me feel a bit more confident in RC which I blow at.

i think ps rc bible was a waste of cash. if you dont know how to read actively at this point in your academic career law school is going to be hellllll. seriously though i mean all it tells you to do is recognize the banalities of writing: the main point, structure of argument, viewpoints, tone etc.

LSAT RC is different...I'm always a guaranteed -0 on GMAT and sometimes even MCAT RC. Rarely does this happen on recent tests with LSAT RC.

It should be easy to go from -2 to -0, right? Not so much.

That said, I too am interested in a new strategy for improving RC. How is the RC Bible for advanced students who want to go perfect on RC every time?

Maybe these "banalities" are something that one can learn to focus more on with a categorical approach, thus getting easy questions right more quickly and giving more time to focus on hard questions.

Don't even get me started on the GMAT. Logical reasoning and reading comprehension are both so easy on that test. My advice to people studying for business school is usually to study for the LSAT and then dominate the GMAT.

That said, it is really hard to break that -2/-4 threshold. I think it only comes with familiarity - getting to know what type of answer each question variety demands.
