Did anyone else argue in favor of the media-whoring Dr. Rickman for completely BS reasons? I'd like to know that I'm not alone here.

I argued that side, for what I thought were legit reasons. But I kind of changed my mind half-way through...

Oh well. Good think that entire section is irrelevant.

People actually wrote essays during the writing section at my test center: rookie mistake. I spent 10 minutes writing a 10 line blurb and spent the rest of the time doodling about the wars between the Power Puff Nation and the Men with Goatees...also had a battle going on between the Chickless Dickens and King Peg leg.

Demonstrate good grammer and the ability to write senteces. Neither of which I do on these forums.

I think it is to make sure that you are not an idiot savant.

Like a logic monster that cant do anything else.

That is what the personal statement is for. The writing sample is a time to relax and bask in the greatness that is the LSAT.

Schools do have the option of reading the writing sample, so I think there's something to be said for making it at least decent. I don't think having only written a ten line blurb will hurt you necessarily, but why not take the twenty minutes and write something sort of legit? Also I hope you're not serious about doodling on the actual writing sample sheet.

Writing sample is restroom break, stretch your legs, and celebrate time. Then put some stuff down on paper, same as any old thing.

I was honestly thinking about writing LSAC can suck one, then cancel...but I didn't

I think I used too many adversative clauses beginning with "while." Shoulda mixed it up a bit. Hard when you can't erase.

UVA says they take the RS seriously and compare it to the PS to see if the applicant really wrote his/her own PS.

Do they really? I don't know, but I'd rather not find out.

No, no on the scratch paper. I did write a legit argument for my choice, it was just concise. I explained how one person met the criteria better then the other and concluded that they should be chosen. You really did not need a full 2 pages to do this, like some people.

I actually asked if I could retain my art work for fear of the proctor profiting from my work. I was laughing so hard when I was drawing it. Got many looks from the people trying to write!

I used "Although" far too many times. Probably in a similar manner to your use of "while".

Hahaha. Yeah, RS just came out because it looked like "PS." I guess it should have been "WS." I guess it matches my avatar and my home state.

our proctor told us not to, because it made the image that's sent to schools hard to read. she said to just cross it out instead. but since they probably won't read it anyway, it shouldn't matter
