Antibiotics LR

Post by littlepixie11 » Sun Oct 10, 2010 5:59 pm

It was an easy one wasn't it? And I got it wrong...ugh
makes me very unconfident about the rest of the section.

Is this the one about the rain forest? I narrowed it down to two choices and felt pretty confident about my selection.

A?

You should edit the post to remove any answer choices.

no, not rainforests, it involved cooking
I guess its just a bummer because I already discovered that I got the Hamlet AND this one wrong, and I'm not sure how I did on games, and this is without knowing how I did on many of the other questions!
Seems like most people struggled with the Hamlet and cooking one but managed to get them both right except for me lol

I don't think you should assume that you got anything right or wrong based on what people on here are saying is right or wrong.

It is what I chose and I am pretty sure I am right on this one, deceitfully straightforward and they put it at a very uncomfortable place to induce self-doubt, those motherfuckers...

Yes it was easy. Sorry to hear that. One question is not the end of the world though.

True, but what I thought was that if 1 easy question tripped me up, then I'm ruined for the rest of LR.

just wondering was this in the same one as the LR section with the hiring condition?? and the parallel at the end that seemed to have no right answer. has it also been establihed that this one was a real LR section?

also going off on a tangent does anyone remember the LR question with actual cardiologists vs some ETV machine or something?

was the right answer that he wasnt like his other buddies?

please let me know if this is not vague enough for hte rules.

also i REALLY hope that our attempted answer is the right one.

Wasn't this a weird question? I can't remember any others like it. What kind of question do you think it was, anyway?

I would call it a Principle question, since we're asked to extract the "principle" from the antibiotics and apply it to the chef. But they never once used the word principle in the whole thing.

And yes, this was the real section. Although while I was taking it, I would have put money on it being experimental since it felt so off.

Did this question involve an analogy?

Definitely weird. I follow your thinking, but I think it was sufficiently different in form to call it significantly different. That said, I haven't thought about it long enough to classify or characterize it.

Crap. I, too, got hung up on this question. Pretty sure I ultimately decided the correct answer involved pleasure.

Trying to remember the context for the mention of Hamlet. Can anyone toss out a little more elaboration on that one?

I don't remember the stim super clear on this one, but as I remember it I think it's much more ambiguous than I thought it was on test day (didn't even have the need to read the stim a 2nd time). If the version of it that I have recreated on my head is close to the one on the test I'm betting the question gets dropped from scoring.

Maybe, I feel like I got tripped up because I wasn't reading carefully for hte antibiotics, but I was overreading for the Shakespeare. Already 2 wrong and I barely know how I did on the rest of the questions =/

This question was definitely weird as far as the question itself. It was an analogy question, but I won't go further than that. I did not think it was "easy". I chose an answer, circled it, finished the section, came back to it, reread the stimulus, and THEN the correct answer jumped out.

Antibiotics and cooking??? I don't remember this question at all. Someone pm me specifics, please.

a) I recall this question, sort of
b) I recall that answer option
c) I recall dismissing that answer right away
d) don't remember what answer I actually chose

If you want you can PM me what you specifically remember. I've noticed that I completely blanked on most parts of the test but when I read what other people have to say about it, my memory starts coming back to me.

I remember the cardiologist question. This question I definitely remember being unsure about...

I was banned shortly after the test so I need to thread carefully here. Two strikes, I will be out.
Antibiotic was easy but very deceptive. I doubted myself but decide to stick with it and it seems it was the correct answer based on what you guys are saying here.

Hamlet: I can hardly remember anything about this one. it just feel like a blur
