So everyone seems to have a guess for what this October's curve will be. Why not harness the predictive power of TLSers to guess the curve? I'll be surprised if the poll doesn't bring us within 1 point of the actual curve.

I'm going to guess -11 (for 170). A lot of people think that this test had a easy/avg. RC and LR section, but it doesn't really matter. The number one determinant of curves is the difficulty of the logic games section. That said, this test did not have an easy games section. While there was no truly difficult game, each game had its own challenges, which definitely made finishing on time difficult for a lot of people... including me Note to Dec. takers: Logic Games are no longer as easy as they were in the early-mid 50 PTs. Speed seems to be a much bigger factor recently.

Also, I'm pretty sure October tends to have the strongest scores (a lot of re-takers, a lot of testers). Does anyone disagree with this?

im not sure... id say to prep RC, because the questions seemed harder than normal, but i may be in the minority on that one... also, be aware of timing... i was prepping with 5 minutes to spare,and i just finished each section with about a minute left..... not horrendous, but something to think about in the future

while there wasnt a horrible lg game, all of them had wide open formats which made for a lot of plug and chug......

I chose -14 because when I played my music this morning, I made sure to keep it on volume level 14 and the CD I played had 14 songs on it (The Glass Passenger - Jack's Mannequin).

Obviously the power of my magical thinking will sway the LSAC gods into a -14 curve. YOU BETTER BELIEVE IT.

games took me too long; i knew how to do all of them, but i couldn't finish the last game and had to guess on the last 4.

no clue how i did on both RC or LR.

my guess is -11 as well. won't be surprised to see a -10 or -12. -14 would be nice.

I like eit's creepy 14 reasoning but my gut is thinking -11.

But seriously, -10 plus or minus one. It was not an exceptionally difficult test, so I doubt -12+, but we are seeing a LOT of cancellations...so probably not -8ish?

It'll be -11. Very similar to last year's October test.

correct me if I am wrong. June was -12 and considered one of the hardest tests? If that is true than this test can't be more than -10. I feel that every game was reasonable

Dec. 09 was one of the hardest recent tests. The curve was -14. The LG for June's test was reasonable, but it was time consuming. I imagine that some people thought the games from Oct. 10 was time consuming as well, so I wouldn't be surprised for -11. Of course, we're all just guessing!
