Apply Early w/ Bad LSAT or Wait til January

Walked out on test today after section 3. I lost focus during section 1 and couldn't recover.

Currently I have a June 2010 LSAT below 25% of targeted schools.
Current PTs are above 75% of targeted schools.

Should I apply early and update apps with new LSAT score in January or wait til then to apply?

Conflicted

If you feel like you left something on the table the first two, I would take it again in December... that is what I am doing after I cancel my misbubbled RC... :( I did so good on the other sections too... lol ugh

Wait till January, or ideally early next year if that's an option.

I guess what Im saying is...is it worth waiting to apply (and forfeit the benefits of applying early) to apply with a LSAT at 75% at target schools?

Yes. I'm waiting after my Dec. retake to apply in Jan. instead of early. LSAT > Applying early.

I don't know your situation but for me (and my horrible misbubble, GOD why couldnt it have been the experimental).... anyway for me I am either gonna apply in January or possibly wait til next fall to apply...

Silver Lining: Maybe I can raise my GPA, work on my personal statement, get some awesome recs, and add more B@!!$*** to my application, lol

Yes ofcourse. But your best option would be to wait until next year so you can both apply early and with the higher LSAT score.

Applying next year isn't going to be an option with young family obligations.

I think we all kindof overestimate the benefits of applying early. I was talking with the Cornell Dean of Admissions (chill guy by the way) and he was saying even a three point increase on the LSAT would make it worth applying in january

As dumb as score expectations go, I'm expecting a 6-8 point increase according to PTs.

Im slowly deciding to wait to apply in January.

At the same time, applying in January has to be a disadvantage just by the virtue of the fact of how much of the new class has already been built...

^ This is probably the main, if not only, advantage in applying early or not.

Applying early is a huge advantage if you are borderline numbers and I hear it helps if you are a splitter also?

since you have a score.. contact the admissions office at the school you want to go to ( or go see them in person if possible) and let them help you make a decision
