Why on Earth, in the technology age - no less, would they need to make people wait 3 weeks for their scores?

Makes me wonder also. It's freaking scantron. Can't take more than a week to ship all those tests to wherever they grade it and scan it...

That's what happens with a monopoly. If they wanted to they could get scores in four to five days, but what motivation do they have?

They should have a payment option.

"Express delivery" - Your score in 3 days. Cost? $100.

Hey, consider yourself lucky.

In the Air Force, when the active duty takes their promotion tests in January/February for promotion to E-6/E-7, scores don't get released until late May/early June! While not the LSAT, two 100-question tests are still stressful enough let alone to have to wait three months to see if you met the cutoff score for promotion.

So three weeks? Not that bad.

I agree with the Expedited option and the monopoly characterization. I was thinking how nice the first would be and how the second is exactly the reason behind it.

If they are all about the bottom line, why not charge $50 for the score within 1 week? The crazies like us would do it in a second.

However, I have a feeling not knowing will be good for me. I'm treating it like I friggin' bombed and now I need to be making a thread on 12/12 that nothing can hold me back; that I've prepped like crazy and I have a 174 PT average.

I'll just use this to drive me...

LSAT is to lawyers as the GMAT is to business, I think. My fiance took the GMAT, and GMAC was so organized and efficient compared to LSAC. Lawyers don't know how to run anything efficiently. They get bogged down on avoiding liability.

From what I remember about the high school standardized tests, I think they took like 6 weeks to get scores back. Am I mistaken?


But yeah, after taking the GRE (which is on the computer and thus immediate scoring), this is going to be excruciating.

That's possible, I just didn't care about those scores; maybe that's why I didn't care to notice. Yeah, the GRE spoiled me - not that I did particularly well, though

I can't believe I had to re-write something in cursive, again; that was probably the most challenging part of the test, lol.

They also make sure to investigate all testing site problems and testing irregularities. Than they look at all the questions and look if one seems abnormally hard/ambigious so they may remove it from scoring.

I'd definitely pay for the expedited scoring option

Yea I think they analyze the crap out of it before they release the scores. With the LSAT being so important to a lot of people it is understandable why. How would you feel if there was a fire drill in the middle of your test or magically one testing center all got 175's? Plus one question can be the difference between getting into the school you really want or getting the waitlist/deny
