I correctly marked B
But had A as a contender.
Basically the passage says M thinks prices rose because of speculation.
The question asks M claimed which one of the following?
A) rapid rise in price of tulips not due to fashionability of flowers they produced.
Since I knew he thought it was due to speculation, I figured only ONE cause...
But I guess A is wrong because the QUESTION asks which one did he claim and B rightly says he claimed it was due to speculation..
i guess if it was a what can be inferred question -- could I infer that the rise in price was not due to G, L, K (random things) if the passage says it was due to J?
