Top Law Schools

So... I'm taking the LSAT in Feb 2011. I'll be graduating Fall'11 or ideally Spring'12. When should I start applying? I've heard that you should start early/late September? So for Fall'12 I should start applying around September 2011? Also, for how long are your LSAT scores valid till?

I want to say five years.

And I would spend from feb 11 to sep 11 making the best personal statement in the world (unless you need to retake) and than start applying in sep.
