I took PT 38 (October 2002 test) and received the highest score I have thus far, and by a long shot. This also came after taking a much needed day off after countless days of cramming. For the first time in a while, my mind felt at ease and I felt rested enough to do well on the PT. Like I said, I ended up overachieving.


Is there such a big difference in the difficulty in tests from this time period versus those of today? If so, is it in any particular section or all of them?

difficulty? thats kind of relative. I'd say in the 30's RC is different, LR is different, and LG is different compared to todays. Your mileage may vary.

My score dropped like crazy after PT38 - I felt the tone of the test changed somehow - can't explain it but the tests after that felt much harder but then you get used to difficulty of the newer exams. Keep going - PT38 will not a good indicator of your score on the final exam.
