PT41 LG4

I've been doing relatively well on LGs lately, I've gone -0 on my last 6 practice tests. That said, I'm still haunted by the last LG that kicked my ass. It was this one.
I did this one again yesterday and it took me 15 minutes. Wholly unacceptable. Can someone share their strategy for attacking this game? On other circular linearity games I don't have that much of a problem because there usually isn't the "across" component, so I just set them up as a line and remember that the last seat is next to the first seat. This one, be it with the line or be it with the asterisk format suggested by the LGB, I feel like I'm trying to sprint in 3 feet of mud.
