Building endurance?

I've just started taking PTs 50-60 and using sections from the 40s to make a 5 section test. However, I have some serious endurance problems. I tend to collapse in the later sections. For example, today I took PT 50 and got -1 on the first LR section and then went down to -9 (!) on the second. This is by far my most dramatic example, but it really has me worried. Any tips beyond adding an extra section to build mental endurance?

I understand that the best way to build endurance is with a 3-5 minute, 80's hair band video montage.
Barring that, I wonder-are you eating something during your break after the third section? Try eating a powerbar or such, you might just be suffering from low blood sugar.

Your incoherent attempts at flame are unfunny.

Agree. Get like....idk...chocolate and eat it during the break.

I'll definitely try to eat something. That sounds like it might help.

Don't eat just plain chocolate! Sugar rush --> sugar crash. Eat a chocolate-type protein bar. I'm planning on bringing a mint chocolate chip Clif bar with a banana for my break.

Meditation. I am not a new age-y type at all, but I think relaxing during the break is key. The blood sugar thing is important, too. Chew and take deep breaths.

I'm going to fit a BLT in my bag.

Yes. I probably will do the same. I love Clif bars.
I'll also try the meditation thing too. I feel like anyone can benefit from sitting with your eyes closed for a few minutes to clear your head before tackling two more sections.

How bad is it to not eat/drink anything before a test? And consume nothing during the break?

Why would you even consider doing this? I would think it would lower your score significantly.

I definitely wouldn't do this for the real test. But for some PTs, I pretty much get up (after showering and brushing teeth), take the bus to the library, and plunk down to take the PT.
I was just wondering if this might be responsible for some of my lower test scores. I definitely feel very worn out by the end, and during the test, I sometimes catch myself thinking about hurrying up so I can get that delicious gyro ASAP.
