LR in early versus later PTs
Is LR on PT 9-20 harder than that around PT 30? I usually average 6-7 errors per LR section, sometimes 2-3. However, on PT 21, section 2 I had -11, while on PT 30, section 2 I had -2. What explains this discrepancy? Is the LR different?

I don't think your one test sample size either way is big enough to justify a trend. I'm pretty sure the LR sections were considered similar at least through test 30.

The question stems were often more convoluted and some prompts not as well written, both thus made the LR sections seem a little tougher.

I was much better at 20-30 LR than more recent LRs....

Re: LR in early versus later PTs
LR doesnt necessarily get more difficult in later tests, its just different. For instance, on the earlier tests youd see more strengthen/weaken questions, whereas now you see more flaw and role questions. Also, the kinds of questions that are difficult have changed. Its pretty much agreed upon that questions 16-23 tend to be the most difficult, but the kinds of questions LSAC puts in here changed.
In any case, its not that bad. I noticed a slight drop in my LR score when I went from the 30's to the 40's, but from 47-51 my scores have rebounded back to the -5ish range they were at.
Keep working. Youll do fine.
Good luck!

Re: LR in early versus later PTs
Here's my view on why LR was harder on older tests.
1. More convoluted question stems.
2. There were multiple questions for a single statement. I don't know why but for me it was harder.
3. Answer choices for latter LR sections seems to have a lot more "standard" answers that you can prephase compared to the older ones.

I completely agree. Before the 20s, LR is convoluted. After that, I am getting a totally different feel from the sections.....
