And ended up with a decent score. If so how did you do it, did you take a prep class or just self study? I took the June 2007 test at work yesterday, so i think I may take one again because I was little distracted trying not to get caught, but still I doubt it will be much better than this, if it is I will post the results but I still need suggestions...

Push this 140 out of your mind. You took it under poor conditions. Retake a fresh test under LSAT conditions in a quiet area and come back to us. Im sure you'll end up with a score above the 140's.
Good luck!

So should I take it timed or untimed?

Im of the belief that the first thing you should do is learn the concepts. Learn how to do the different types of games, learn how to attack the different types of LR questions, etc etc. Learn the concepts before you start taking PT's.
However, to get an idea of where you really are and what your "weak" areas are, Id say take a timed PT.
Good luck!

Timed. Do the first one as close to legit as you can and then devise a study plan after that.

I did! I literally beat the odds on the games and got more than 4 out of 5 wrong. Lol.
Interestingly enough, after a year of on and off studying, my best section became my worst (RC) and my worst became my best (LG). I haven't taken the test yet (October), but I'm scoring in the upper 160s consistently, so I'm hopeful!
I can't stress enough how learnable this test is. That's not to say everyone can make a 180, but almost everyone can improve significantly from their diagnostic with some good hard work.
