Hello all,
I'm just a little curious about hearing what your diagnostic scores were when you first started your LSAT prep(cold) and where your PT scores are currently. Also, if you already took the real thing, please, feel free to share what score you ended up with if you'd like to. Thank you all for your time.

140. Scoring between 160-162 on the newest tests under real conditions with 5 sections.

Never took a completely cold PT, but I did PT 29 or 30 with about 3 hours of studying and got a 153, though I went way overtime on LG (55 min). After reading the LG and LR bibles, and Nova's section on RC, I averaged about a 163 on the rest of the "Next 10," though I am still very slow with LG. Taking in Dec, so I still have plenty more practice and study ahead of me.

157 diagnostic. Took four practice tests before the real thing. I improved pretty rapidly, scored 170's last practice. Should have studied much more in hindsight, but I didn't know how much people studied for the lsat going in, only came upon this site after the test. Mid 160's on the actual test. It's a very learnable test, just put in the time. G'luck.

My cold diagnostic test was 147 about three months ago. Now I've been consistently scoring 160-162 on my pts. All of which are in timed conditions. The weird thing is I've been able to finish each section within 30 minutes and I still seem to be getting a ton wrong on the LR section. But there's still a little less than a month left to increase your score.

Mine was a 161 diagnostic, but was pretty notable for being 6\24 on games. It almost seems impossible to me now to do that poorly on games in 35 minutes. I didn't write anything down and just tried to do everything in my head, and it just totally froze me. Still, you'd think that with completing the first game and part of the 2nd with guesses everywhere else, I would have gotten 10 or so. Oh well, I usually do well on games now. The general consensus that games are easily improved if you put in the work has held true for me.
Like, pocket herc, I only took a few PTs before the real thing in June, scored in the 170s on those, and then got a 165 on the real thing. I found this site after that and realized that people were putting in a LOT more work than I had and getting results, so now I'm going to take it again in Oct. Currently PT at ~174 after reading the LGB and seeing games go from a guaranteed -7 to a pretty consistent -0.

I had a 152 diagnostic. I don't think that's representative of my abilities however- I tried to solve the games section in my head. (NOT a good idea.) My strongest section was RC, and it's now my weakest.
I'm at a 166, and it's incredibly easy for me to get that. I'll get a little lower or higher, but I'm always missing 14-17 per test, which puts me right at that point. I've hit a wall though. I have no clue what I'll actually pull in Oct. I took a course starting June 5 and put in about an hour a night to get to 167 on the last day of the class (Aug. 14), so I don't know where my actual abilities lie. Especially since I barely attended the course toward the end and still scored higher than I am now.

This is very interesting so far. I really would like to hear from more people. My diagnostic was in the 140s range and I have seen significant improvement after about 3 months of extremely light prep, being that I'm taking the test in October 11'. I'm striving for a 180

. However, 170 seems a lot more feasible.

160 diagnostic.
Highest I've hit was a 174.
My last 3 prep tests have been 171 174 170.
I'm averaging something like a 168 though probably...maybe a 169.

I know how you feel. I started in the 140's as well, but am still stuck in the low 150's right now and need to make that jump into the 160's. I'm hoping I'm gunna see some real improvement soon!

1st time: 157 cold
Last diagnostic was a 170. I was stuck on 166 for a while, and when I say a while I mean like 8 tests. Finally breaking out of it...

Never took a completely cold test. But first official diag under real testing conditions was a 152. Last three PTs were 171, 172 and 169.

The first timed PT I took, I scored a whopping 178, at that point, I only read the explanations for sample questions on the internet. Then I read Bibles and now I am scoring anywhere from 173 to 180. So Bibles decreased my score

My cold diagnostic was a 148. My last PT was a 171.
I've been studying since July and been taking TestMasters.

I'm sure you will man. What I'm learning is that it just takes patience. There are times were I become so pissed at mistakes but now I try my hardest to not let it frustrate me. Its definately been encouraging to see so many people make these jumps from 140s to 170s. That's very impressive. Thank you everyone for all the responses thus far.

I know they say be careful what you wish for, but for anything over 160 I'd give my left arm and leg.
