I know that the officially correct answer is "C" but isn't "A" also correct?? Since "A" says, "The only unsliced loves..." it implies a plural (2 or more),which is in violation of the final rule of needing at least one unsliced rye if 2 or more loaves are unsliced.
If "A" could be true (therefore being an incorrect answer) shouldn't it say, "The only unsliced loaf..."???

Exactly, it violates that last rule and the other one which states: of the three kinds of loaves--oatmeal, rye, wheat--the delivery must contain at least two. That's why it's incorrect.

So since the question asks what "CANNOT be true?", is it incorrect of me to think that both "A" and "C" cannot be true? Since both "A" and "C" violate at least one rule each?

Am I missing something or are there two answers to this question?

consider UO, SW, SW, SR, SR, SR. is this a possible delivery? Yes. is it possible then that the only U loaf is O?

you only need a UR if there are more 2 or more UOs; also, take "loaves" in (A) to mean "loaf or loaves"

Right. It is possible to only have one unsliced loaf (UO) as you have exemplified. However, "A" is plural, "The only unsliced loaves are oatmeal..." This requires 2 or more unsliced loaves, which cannot be true and infers two correct answers.
I am confused on this question but I keep thinking that because "A" was written as plural and not singular, there are two "Cannot be true" answers.

Am I crazy here? I must be missing something. Thanks for the help!!

Not in logic, "some cars are green" could mean that only one car is green. Read the LR Bible chapter on formal logic.

That's right!! I completely forgot that some is at least one but can be all!
