How far were you from 170 and how long have you been studying?

At this point, rushing to "cram" for the LSAT may only get you a lower score that is going to adversely affect your cycle. If you have been preparing all summer, you may just have hit a plateau. I hit one back at 166 that it took me a long time to get out of. High 160s (like 167-169) is a good score that has you in the 95th percentile. I personally would not risk a lower score or even the same score. If you dont think you can make a significant jump, I would just go with what I have.

With a good GPA and some decent softs you should be good to go.

Since almost all schools take your best score there is little to no risk associated with retaking. That being said if you aren't PT'ing above your current score I say it wouldn't be worth it to retake.
