PT 53 today. 95 raw, 176 scaled. -1LR, -0LG, -1LR, -3RC.

Annoyed because I simply was really tired by the end in RC and didn't read properly (duh haha) and got at least 2 wrong because of that (the other one I probably would have gotten wrong anyways so no hard feelings about that) and I got #2 and #6 wrong in Logical Reasoning, WTF.

I think lack of sleep was a factor in this - went to bed at 11, probably fell asleep around 11.30, got up at 6, took an hour long bus to school, then had two hours worth of classes, and then took this PT. Brain drain.

PT 54 today.
Adverse conditions: cold, on cold meds, didn't get much sleep, am a mucus factory, kept blowing nose, feel like there's cotton wool over my head.

92 raw, 171 scaled. Not bad. -4RC (bad), -3LR (bad), -0LG (great!), -2LR (that's acceptable).

I just went so slowly on RC! I was down to the wire. I don't really know what happened besides my mind felt rusty (last PT was on Wednesday). Need to make sure I'm doing drilling in between, as I didn't do any of that due to my freaking migraine on Saturday and then cold setting in on Sunday.

Glad this cold is happening now, not 19 days from now. Glad I can score at least a 170+ score under nasty conditions, seeing as it's probably more similar to how I'll feel on test day (not good, haha!). I don't know. I hope I'll perform well on the actual test, but it's kind of scary it's coming up so quickly!!

PT 55 tomorrow! I can't believe I'm so far up in the PTs. Only 6 left - um, that's kind of a scary thought, argh. I still have lots of sections left that I can take, I should go home tomorrow (am house sitting) and grab a book and do more section work.

OKAY. Hmm. I just sorted out my schedule for PTs.

Friday, September 24th: PT 55
Sunday, September 26th: PT 56
Wednesday, September 29th: PT 57
Friday, October 1st: PT 58
Sunday, October 3rd: PT 59
Wednesday, October 6th: PT 60

Thursday the 7th, I am going to do all the older games I bought from Cambridge LSAT awhile back that aren't in the next 10, so that I have "fresh games" to practice on so I feel confident on those.

Friday, not sure if I'll do anything or have a complete "off" day.

I should be practicing section work ont he days off (at least one section per day) as well as getting enough sleep, eating healthily, and exercising (as much as possible with a head cold).

Okay. I'm feeling good. 18 days. We can do this.

hey eit... how do you do on your RC sections? As in... how much time do you tend to have left over (if any) when you finish?

My average missed is 2.6 (0-4), but I am almost always down to the wire. I'd say 75% of the time I get to the last passage with less than 8:30. I'm kind of worried about test stress making me not able to focus on those last few questions, and I'm trying to figure out a way to combat this/maybe find a way to save a minute or two on earlier passages. Any pointers?

Man, I'm not sure if I'm the best person to answer this anymore! Mostly because I've been seriously feeling the crunch of time pressure on RC. However, this is, admittedly, MOSTLY in my head. I end up with 5-10 minutes left, usually, but I get worried about time during most of the passages. I'm finding the newer RC sections have much more difficult to differentiate answer choices, so it slows me down a hell of a lot.

I read the passage pretty quickly. What I'm going to do to combat my time is to try to stop wasting a lot of time on 1-3 questions per passage. Look at my watch ONLY AFTER the first two so I'm not too stressed. One question at a time kind of thing. I also kind of find it helpful to have a sort of "countdown" and a mental guide to where you are in your head - for me, sometimes when drilling I mark after 7 questions (because I have an insatiable curiosity to know how well I'm doing), so I've sort of divided the test up even further beyond four passages to every 7 questions. 7 questions, 1/4 done, 14, half done, 21, 3/4 done, etc.

Today I did PT 55, as per my schedule. -0LR (very good), -2RC (need to drill this), -1LR (!), -1LG.

The -1 LR was on QUESTION THREE. Need to seriously figure out why I'm getting so weirded out by the questions in the 10s. I think I'm OVERTHINKING these questions which results in me questioning obvious answer choices. I might drill a bunch of 1-10 questions. I should look at what I've got left in terms of section work as well.

51 individual games, photocopied, drawn from the 20's - 30's games, all repeats.
Also have games from - PT 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8, 17, 33, 34, 35, 37, 40, 44 - all fresh games sections. 14 fresh games sections.

Logical Reasoning - 19 Sections Left.
Prep Test #18: Both
Prep Test #24: 3/4 of Section 3.
Prep Test #26: Both.
Prep Test #29: 1/2 1 and full other.
Prep Test #30: Just one.
Prep Test #31: Both.
Prep Test #33: Both
Prep Test #34: Both
Prep Test #35: Both

Prep Test #37: Both
Superprep A: Both

Reading Comprehension - 10 Sections left.
Prep Test #18
Prep Test #24
Prep Test #26
Prep Test #30 - 1 passage left
Prep Test #31
Prep Test #33
Prep Test #34
Prep Test #35
Prep Test #37
Superprep A
Superprep B

There are fourteen (14!) days left. I'm not including today because I've already done a prep test today.
So roughly 8 days where I won't be doing a full test.

I have fourteen fresh games sections, so I can do at least one fresh games section a day.

Sat. Sept. 25 -
- Reading Comprehension PT #37
- Reading Comprehension PT #18
- Reading Comprehension PT #30 (single passage)
- Logic Games PT #1

Sun. Sept. 26 -
Prep Test #56 with PT #40's Logic Games section as an experimental

Mon. Sept. 27 -
- Logical Reasoning, PT #37 (2 Sections)
- Logic Games PT #2

Tues. Sept. 28 -
- Logic Games PT #3
- Reading Comprehension PT #35

Weds. Sept. 29 -
- Prep Test #57 with PT 44's Logic Games section as an experimental

Thurs. Sept. 30 -
- Logical Reasoning PT #34 (2 Sections)
- Logical Reasoning PT #33 (2 Sections)
- Logic Games PT #4

Fri. Oct. 1
- Prep Test #58 with PT 37's Logic Games as an experimental

Sat. Oct. 2 -
- "Mock" Prep Test on campus, 9-1
- Logic Games #5

Sun. Oct. 3 -
- Reading Comprehension #34
- Logic Games #6

Mon. Oct. 4 -
- Prep Test #59 with PT 8's Logic Games as an experimental

Tues. Oct. 5 -
- Reading Comprehension #33
- Logic Games #17
- Reading Comprehension #31
- Logic Games #33

Weds. Oct. 6 -
- Prep Test #60 with PT 34's Logic Games as an experimental

Thurs. Oct. 7 -
- Some of the 410 difficult LR questions packet from CambridgeLSAT.
- Logic Games #35
- An RC passage, maybe. Just one or two.

Fri. Oct. 8 -
- Not sure if I'm going to touch anything LSAT related this day - likely not.

Sat. Oct. 9 -
- Prep Test #61

I'm not sure whether this schedule is going to burn me out or make me really, really sharp. If it's too stressful, I'll drop some of the section work.

eit,

I grew up in Vancouver! I've visited Victoria a few times. It's a very pretty town, but it felt like it was mostly tourists and old people, haha.

Reading your progress report has been very helpful. I feel like I'm where you were at in August: trying to average -1 for each section consistently. I'm still inconsistent, but I'm definitely showing signs of progress. Now, I just have to orchestrate a synchronization of 5 well-done sections in one sitting. Games still make me a little nervous, though going through the "Next 10" book should help me feel like I'm ready for anything.

I'll have to work hard in the next 2 weeks. Hopefully this just means I'll peak at the right time.

Ha... yeah. It is incredibly pretty, and inculcated in me a desire to never ever live anywhere but the west coast, haha, but it can be somewhat boring.

I'm glad my progress helped you out. I can't believe I ever had -2 per section as a worthy goal! Seriously, if I get -2 per section on the REAL test, that will be fine (even with the stingy -8 curve, that would likely net me at 170 and a 170 is my realistic... well, maybe not realistic, but my goal). But on PTs I want to be practicing as high as I possibly can now.

I feel you on the consistency thing. Lately the only thing that has been consistent is that I get between 2-5 errors per test, usually spread between RC and LR.

Games - just do games ad nauseam and you'll feel more comfortable. I've been re-doing games and noticing patterns a lot quicker and also feeling more confident in how I set things up. Before, I think a lot of my mistakes came from not realizing how to properly set things up.

------

Anyways, today was PT 56, with an experimental PT 3 LG. -0LG experimental, -0LG, -2LR, -1LR, -0RC.

Um also, even though I spent all that time crafting that nice schedule, I'm totally not sticking to it. I'm doing what I can each day hah. Although I am sticking to the PT schedule.

I have to go study Latin now :).

Eit, have you gone through all or most of the 410 most difficult questions from Cambridge? I have it also, and haven't even started it... wondering if it's worth it.

I've gone through about 1-15. Admittedly, I did these on the bus with a friend (I gave her the questions I'd done to try haha), so I wasn't focusing THAT hard, but I found them REALLY difficult. Well worth it, I'd say.

I think my intense PT today killed my brain. I'm trying to study Latin and I'm just running into a wall of NON FOCUS. Urgh. I'm calling in sick tomorrow so I can study for Latin tomorrow, since my test is on Tuesday. Lol.

Did all four sections of PT 33, I think it was, today. Maybea nother PT. I don't know. I can't be bothered to figure it out. Anyways. It was one I hadn't done games yet for. If I'd done the PT altogether and all timed, this score would obviously count. Since I did it over two bus rides and a bit of a car ride, obviously it counts less. I didn't go over time on anything (this was really only measured by my knowledge of how long bus rides last/how long I wait for the bus) but anyways, I didn't go over time. -2 LR, -0LG, -1RC, -0LR --> 98 raw, 180 scaled. Nice, huh. Too bad I didn't do it altogether lmfao, since that counts for nothing except that I can get only 3 questions wrong if I do the PT sections separately, not veryw ell timed, and on the bus.

Haha, thanks. I'm not expecting a 180, but it sure would be nice, if only for bragging purposes. I am aiming for a 179. If Elle Woods can do it, so can I!

Sacrilege... I love Legally Blonde! I've seen it probably around 5+ times over the years. I have it on VHS lol.

Definitely going to set my facebook status to legally brunette when I head off to the LSAT.

PT 60 taken in a more simulated environment. The proctor called at 10 and 5 minutes, which I did not like, since that is not what is actually going to happen.

MISBUBBLED. FEAR. HATRED. ANXIETY. These are all emotions that misbubbling brings up in me. Yep. So... let's double check everything, shall we?

Sans bubbling errors, I would have scored 94/176. That curve is generous!! With bubbling, 92/174.

Two questions on RC I had circled as dangerous and I got them wrong. I felt like I got more right than I actually did. Or maybe just less wrong. I don't know.

-2LR, -0LG, -1LR, -2RC.

LG was NOT THAT BAD! :) I actually disliked the interns more than mulch and stone because at least mulch and stone was only like, one level, right? Like, there was SSSMMMS or whatever and then cleaning was like, marking lines and stuff, but it was one level. The double uncertain levls of the interns was not my favorite thing ever.

New schedule for the next six days.

What remains:
PT 61
PT 59
PT 42
RC drilling: 39, 40, 41, 44 (2 hours, 20 minutes)
Games from: 34, 35, 37, 39, 41. (2 hours, 55 minutes)
Logical Reasoning: 44A, 35, 37.
Roman Society Test
Anthropology “Quiz”
The Winter’s Tale Quiz

Sunday:
Studying for Roman Society
Reading Comprehension 40, 41
Games 34

Monday:
Studying for Roman Society
Roman Society Test
PT 59 with Logical Reasoning 37A.

Tuesday:
Studying for Anthropology and Ferre quiz.
Games 35

Wednesday:
Studying for Anthropology quiz
Anthropology Quiz
PT 42
Latin meeting.
Games 37

Thursday:
Games 39
Reading Comprehension 39
Logical Reasoning 37B

Friday:
Games 41
Reading Comprehension 44
10 Logical Reasoning questions (410 packet)

Saturday:
PT 61

I'm not sure if I should do what I have scheduled on Friday or not. I would do my first two classes, go to the library and do about an hour and a half of LSAT work (one games, one RC, and a few LR questions) and then go home, watch a movie, dance around to music, take my dog on a walk, and generally chill out. I'm afraid a full day off of LSAT stuff might be detrimental. At the very least, I'm going to take the games section.

At least your proctor called 5 minutes. Mine forgot to do that for the LG section today. To top it off, the proctor lost track of time during the third section and called 5 minutes when we had 15 left. Good thing some of the other students were on the ball and corrected her.

Grats on the 176. I'm taking PT 60 on Monday.

If shit like that happens on the actual test, I'm going to be so upset/flustered. My proctor had a fancy little Princeton Review timer, lol. I'm trying to make sure I call it for myself around the 10 minute mark - I tend to double check where I am after a game/passage or two pages in LR for timing. Sometimes it works well to reassure me, other times it makes me a little afraid for the timing.

Good luck on PT 60!

---

Today, I just finished all I'm going to do today for LSAT work, probably.
Did PT 37 games - unfortunately misdiagrammed TWO rules on the last game, and only realized this last minute. I was able to get 3 questions right anyways, and missed 3 because of this misdiagramming. I had OJ on my diagram, but I turned it into OJ or JO in my head. It was also no KL but I turned this into no KL and no LK... I should have looked at my rules when I knew I was missing something on question 21.

I did PT 40 and 41's Reading Comprehension sections, since I've felt very uncertain about my reading comprehension as of late - it went up wildly in the 50's. Let's see - -1 (50), -4 (51), -1(52), -3(53), -4(54), -2(55), -0(56), -1(57), -1(58), -1(60). It needs to be consistently -1 or -0. There is really no need to mess up on this section, even if the questions are trickier.
PT 40 was a -1 (very last question), PT 41 was a -0, thankfully.

PT 59 sucked. -2LG, -4LR, -2LR, -1RC. 92, 174.

Good thing is, RC was -1. That's where I like it. Of course -0 is better, but still. Also if I hadn't misread negative for positive in the question I missed on Noguchi, I would have -0'd.

LR - I got fixated on one answer choice for a couple. Mis-read for a couple. Just stupid mistakes. Could not understand one question.

I took this one while feeling tired, after having spent all day studying for and then taking a test where I basically vomited my brain up onto the page for an hour and a half, and with low hydration/nutrition. So. I'll take a 174, I guess.

HARD test. I liked 60 better.

I don't think I'm going to do a full PT on Wednesday. I've taken enough of them (like what, 25 or so now?) and so section work is where it's at. I'm also implementing a plan I call "subsistence schoolwork" wherein I don't do readings or whatever that's not absolutely necessary, and I get to skip school on Friday and read HP instead of Shakespeare. Yup. SUBSISTENCE SCHOOLWORK. I think this is probably what most college students do, unless they want to get into LS hahaha.

I wholeheartedly approve of subsistence schoolwork. It's what I did for 3 of 4 years, in fact. Just don't make a habit of it or you might watch As turn to A-s and A-s to B+s, as I did. Looks like 59 has a nice curve; that will be a nice break when I take it today or tomorrow.

So organized. I'm really inspired. I want to improve from my 168 to the 170s lol

Seriously? What are you waiting for?
