I just took my first LSAT practice exam and scored a 148. This was before studying anything. I had completely no idea how to do the logic games. However, i know i will improve drastically, and i am currently enrolled in BluePrint, and just signed up for the October 2010 lsat. My question is whether i should wait longer so that i can have a longer time to study for the test. Ideally, i need to raise my score about 20 points in order to get into the schools i want. I know its possible, but only after hard work. Do i have enough time to do this, or should i wait a couple more months after the October test to take it?

Yes, you'll very likely need longer. That is a lot of points you need to make up, though it is doable (with enough time)--just a lot of hard work. I'd suggest aiming for the December exam. But if you signed up for October already, you can decide up until the deadline for changing your dates without it showing up on your record (Sep 19th I think).
