So, when I took the LSAT I got a 157. I got a perfect on my logic games section; I need to up my logic reasoning and the reading comprehension. I plan to retake the LSAT in October.
I used the Powerscore book for the reasoning section to study and did great when I was working from the book, but horrible when I tested. Are there any other guides you would suggest? How about something to help with reading comprehension?
I feel with a perfect games consistently, if I can up the other two sections I stand a decent chance at getting a *much* higher score.
What worked for you? What do you suggest?
Thanks in advance!

Same thing happened to me if you mean by horrible 7 to 11 wrong sometimes... i recommend practice practice practice and then review the ones you got wrong.
The powerscore methods in the book are excellent. It is not that you need another point of view on how to approach them. just get more familiar with them through more PTs

If we combined our LSAT prowesses (I got -2 points for the other sections, and enough wrong on logic games to drop to a 162) we would have the first 181 LSAT.

In all honesty, it is going to be tough. If you lack reading and analytical skills, you get owned on LR twice and in RC. If you lack the skills for LG (like I did), you only get hurt in one section. It is much better to be struggling in LG than in the other sections because the skill sets in LR and RC are so similar. LG is the most unique section and the most improvable.
As far as improving goes, learn to read well. I have no idea what that involves, but it is clear that your ability to read quickly and comprehensively is not there. Getting a perfect LG section and only getting a 157 means you must have gotten absolutely destroyed on RC and LR. You need to read as much material as you can... newspapers, magazines (like intelligent magazines, not People) books, etc. and break them down. Figure out what arguments are being made. Also, get your hands on the LR and RC Bibles, if you haven't already. Maybe even take a logic class?

157 ain't too bad, he probably had a -9 on each of the other 3 sections. I just got a 161 on a PT, and I had a -2 on LG, and averaged a -8 on the other sections.
Once you start cutting down your errors in LR, (even down to -5/-6 per section) you'll be solidly in the 160's.
