Powerscore Logic Games Bible old and new version difference

Post by notaznguy » Fri Jul 23, 2010 9:50 pm

I feel pretty stupid. I guess I didn't do enough research and just jumped the gun and bought the book on amazon. Anyways, I believe this is the newest version of the powerscore logic games bible 2008 edition

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/098017 ... YY0X7B3E8F

It's 402 pages long.

I actually ordered this one instead:

http://www.amazon.com/PowerScore-LSAT-L ... 097212960X

Which is only 232 pages and I believe this is the 2006 edition.

The newer one has 170 pages. Do these 170 pages contain significantly that much more information? Is the 2006 edition truly THAT outdated? Crap there goes my $30...

Difference = minimal. Old version has all the most important bits, although the new version has a chapter devoted to Pure Sequencing rather than mentioning it in the "other games" since Pure Sequencing is becoming more common. I'm not completely certain though.

Is there anyone that can confirm that? Not saying that you're wrong, but just wondering, if the difference is so minimal, what exactly accounts for the 170 page difference? Truly Pure Sequencing doesn't require 170 pages of explanation and practice problems now does it?

I have both: you're fine with the older book.

The difference is mainly more drills and more games, including more recent games that you'll likely want to save for full-length timed exams closer to Test Day.

(Most of the difference is not due to the separation of Pure Sequencing into a separate chapter.)
