Preparing for a test and lifestyle changes

I haven't dived into my studies yet, but I will have by the end of the week. It's hard because I work full time in a job that leaves me exhausted at the end of the day. (I'm supposed to teach ESL Kindergarteners baby English, but mostly I just yell and scream nonsense)
But I have tried to get into the habit of doing without any highly moving, or emotionally charged music. I've also decided not to go anywhere during my vacation period of a week. The music part is kind of easy. I'm bummed about not booking that cool trip I was looking forward to, but I think it's worth it if I really get some hard core studying done.
I'm also going to add a good amount of cardio to my workout routine. At the moment I focus mostly on weights...
Anyone else making some changes that are indirectly meant to affect (increase) your chances of doing well in October (or Dec) ?
