I took the june lsat and got a 165, i was practicing fairly consistently around 168,169 and would like to increase my score. I am thinking about retaking the lsat in oct or december. Since sept-oct is a really busy time of year for me and the test falls on a big football game day for my school I'm leaning towards taking it in december.... that way I'll be able to spread out and pace my studying throughout the semester and not miss the game! But I'm wondering if it is a better idea to take it in Oct for application purposes. I'm wondering if I should get in my applications for some of my "safer" schools earlier and wait and take the lsat in december and apply to more of my reach schools later (given that I do better on the lsat) ? Can anyone help me with that decision or give me any advice?? thanks!

Good advice is wait a year. Bad advice is apply late in the cycle.

Maybe if you really, really study hard and do every PT available and work your goddamn ass off the you can take the DEC test and apply. It sound like you are still in school. If so work on your GPA. Take 100 level classes get A's and A+'s if possible. Do your best to control the one thing that you will never be able to fix - your GPA. Then after graduation work on your LSAT. It means you will have to get a job for a year or maybe even two, heaven forbid. The work will do you good.
