A good reason to use the offical tests

Post by NJcollegestudent » Sun Jun 13, 2010 3:03 pm

I have been practicing the LR section and have found this. When i do the questions from the LSAC books they are much more difficult to answer than the ones in non LSAC books (such as the prep ones). Noting this difference between the two, what benefits are there to using the private prep books?

The explanations in some of the prep books can be better. But really the best reason to use the private prep books is the methods they can teach you for tackling each type of question in a section. Go to a bookstore and look at a few pages of one of the PowerScore Bibles. You'll see what I mean.

Most private prep books that I've seen use official LSAC-licensed questions.

For instance, I took the Kaplan course and from what I remember they only used questions created by LSAC.
