Hey everyone, if you took the test in a Los Angeles test center and were a little uneasy after the earthquake struck, ie, if you were like me and took your test on the 12th floor, please notify LSAC ASAP. They are aware of the situation and depending on the amount of complaints, proper action will be taken. The representative told me that either an official statement will be released with our scores letting schools know about the conditions we were under or a NEW alternate test will be giving.

I found out that the 2008 California Bar Exam gave test-takers FREE BONUS POINTS! (essentially) for having endured an earthquake.

If we can mobilize a fat lot of LA test-takers to write and complain to the LSAC, we maybe could get some decent favorable consideration.

Tell everybody you know that took it in the LA basin to write an email. This could be pretty good.

Go for it. A note would be sweet. *Earthquake Survivor* Or two points. Or $170 store credit whatever. But definitely call them.

Yes! A new test would be epic, however, knowing LSAC that will never happen...

Ok, I spoke with an LSAC rep today and this is what you need to do. You must fax in a formal complaint to LSAC (Fax: 215.968.1277), this is not only to inform them of your dilemma for special review, but also to put a hold on your account. The hold on your account extends the time you have to make a decision on whether or not you wish to cancel your score. The lady said LSAC should know by next week what the accommodations will be.

I was taking the test on the 12th floor near LAX, 5 miles from the epicenter. The quake struck during my RC section, disappointing...

^^Same deal for me, I got an extended cancellation window and they will let me know what favorable consideration they are going to extend me by next week.

I was able to file a formal complaint by email - LSACinfo@LSAC.org. Just included my account number.

If you are an Angelino, you really should try to get a piece of this. The more people that complain, the more gravitas with which they will view the earthquake.

For real though, this quake was distracting. You never know if it's better to flee the building or ride it out. So I had to be thinking evacuation plan AND logical reasoning. Not easy.

It's kind of exacerbated when you're in a high-rise building that was built in the 1920s - Bullocks Wilshire.
