Seeing this term around a bit, and cannot realize what it means. Is it good, bad, mediocre?

Splitter: High LSAT-low GPA
Reverse splitter: High GPA-low LSAT

Which one is it better to be? Worse case scenario I am a reverse splitter.

Typically a high LSAT/low GPA splitter
1.) LSAT is generally the top factor used by most law schools. (Except for Boalttt)
2.) There are more high GPA/low LSAT splitters out there than high LSAT/low GPA splitters.

Overall it's probably better to be a splitter as schools tend to weigh the LSAT heavier than GPA. However, there are also several schools that weigh GPA more than LSAT score -- and regardless of your label the best thing you can do is be above median or above 75% for a school's numbers.

Splitters and reverse splitters end up occupying opposite sides of the same coin because their GPA and LSAT are so far apart that they will inevitably help the numbers of schools they apply to in one category and hurt in the other.

This is helpful so I will keep coming with the questions lol, GPA is 3.92, say I score 165 (a little lower than my target school average of 167), is this still being a reverse splitter?
