"The discussion about the two Portuguese officers advances the argument by"

thanks again for helping, really trying to lock down this question types. I think they are the root of my problems. If you don't mind, a sentence or two about how you figured it out would help.

thanks

At first is said evaluate the argument since you had to understand the role of the sentence with the portuguese officers to understand how it helped the argument as a whole.

I believe that's structure.

i agree it is some type of structure question. I am trying to use the powerscore classification structure. Where did you pull structure from?

I believe it's structure because the question is asking about the technical readout of the argument. For example, an answer choice might be 'rules out alternative causes to arrive at its conclusion'. Be mindful that this is just an example. I don't remember any specific structure questions from the test. This example does not reflect any of the test answer choices as I remember them. DON'T BAN ME BRO!

Yeah. I was just saying that so admins wouldn't think I was trying to get around the rules. Regardless of the test, that question is usually structure.
