Should I cancel my score?

I scored in the 166-168 range on my first LSAT. Retook it today and feel like i could have gotten anything from a 164-172. I am wondering how much a drop in score would decrease my chances at law school admission? Since I already have a decent score would it be wise to cancel my score or is the risk of dropping a few points worth the possible reward? I read on this board that most schools take your top score which would make me lean towards not canceling... but I am not sure if that is a good decision. Thank you very much for your help!

I think I'd just wait and see what you get. If you scored between a 166 and 168 already, and this score is going to be between a 164 and 172, it doesn't sound like if your score is lower, it'll be much lower. And a higher score, say 169-172, would make a HUGE difference in your chances at top law schools.

Well, was it a 166 or a 168 originally? How could you score in a "range" on your previous LSAT? Not quite sure I'm comprehending this..
If it was a 168, then you might consider canceling, as a 164 could potentially hurt your chances. On the other hand, a drop from a 166 to 164 isn't considerable and probably wouldn't have a noticeable impact, and the potential of a higher score would outweigh the risk.

Agree, though I still think I'd just wait and see what you get at this point. I'm sure you're being a little hard on yourself in terms of the low end of the range you provided us.
