How much does LSAT count?

Yeah, I have read in a Kaplan Review book that LSAT counts for 60, while GPA is 40? Is this right? Some people say that GPA is only part of the 40, along with EC's, personal statements, etc. Is this correct?

Depends entirely on the school. There's no "formula" that you can use. Try
http://www.lawschoolpredictor.com to play around with numbers, but even that's only based on past application outcomes.
I think the one thing you got right, no matter the breakdown, is that LSAT + GPA = 100%.

+1
LSAT+GPA = vast majority, but not quite 100%
There's still:
ECs, personal statements, rec letters, URM status, work experience, criminal record, disciplinary record, interviews (at a few schools like Northwestern), unofficial interviews, alumni advocating on your behalf / connections, multi-million $ donations, your relative being POTUS, etc...
And, yes, go to
http://www.lawschoolpredictor.com to determine an approximation of your chances.

Maybe more like 90% -- I got into some reach schools (with my numbers) and I believe that the push over the top was from my LORs and PS.

This may be irrelevant but I've heard that its predominantly LSAT, a tiny bit grades, and the other stuff only matters if you're on the bubble; however, I've been told that certain combinations can have more effect than others. For instance, high gpa. Well, that's good. But I've been told that in my situation high gpa and division 1 athlete will look better than someone with the same gpa as mine because its more of a wow factor. Just like the URM factor. I may be totally off base but that's what my advisor told me. Granted, nothing makes up for a shitty lsat. Except maybe URM...even then, it can't be *that* shitty.
