LSAT Book

I am new to this board and unfortunately I bought the McGraw-Hill's LSAT 2011 edition book before I read anything on here about what to buy.
Is this a good book to go ahead and work through anyways?
The book has practice tests but I'm not sure if they are old LSAT practice tests or if they are mimics.
I'm just beginning to study for the October LSAT. It will be the first time I have taken it.
Thanks

Don't bother working through it. I haven't looked at the 2011 edition yet (it just came out a few weeks ago), but previous LSAT books from this publisher are full of errors and typos. They're not good to use.

And, yes, the questions they use are mimics (not LSAC-written).

I agree, don't bother working through it. It might skew your perception of reasoning strategies.
