Could someone explain #15 for me? "If there are exactly two songs on the CD that both precede V and are preceded by Y, then which one of the following could be true?"

I wrote that as Y _ _ V and ended up with a _ _ Y S _ V _ and chose C ) Y occupies the third track of the CD. Apparently the answer was E) W is a rock classic, and I have no idea why as I blanked on the whole rock classic/new composition role except for Z in slot 6 and slot 5 being a new composition.

Looks like you might have shifted things over one spot on accident. Globally, we know S = 4, Z = 6 and V is either 5 or 7. Since we now have Y _ _ V, that means we know V must be 5 and Y must be 2: _ Y _ S V Z _. From there, we can now fill in the rest: T Y W S V Z X. Answers (A), (B), (C) can be eliminated based on that placement. (D) can be eliminated because the first song can't be a rock classic, so that leaves (E) as the answer.

so the only place V can go where it's Y_ _ V is #5


and since rock classic --> new comp_rock classic, rock classic can never go in slot 1, so slot 1 has to be a new comp

this means that slot 3 could be either one, so E is the only answer that works
