Top Law Schools

Hi-

I wanted to get some advice to gauge whether retaking the LSAT would be worth it. I have taken the LSAT twice already scoring between 157-160 the first attempt and 160-163 the second attempt. I was accepted into some good schools two years (two t30 schools and five schools between 30-40) but was offered a great job opportunity and decided to postpone law school. I have a pretty good GPA (3.75+) and am gunning for schools ranked 15-30. My goals as of now are either getting a half-full scholarship at a good state school (IUB, Iowa, Illinois, Minnesota, Wisconsin) or gaining acceptance to T25 private schools ( Notre Dame-being my first choice, Emroy, WUSTL, BU, BC) I would be willing to pay sticker at any one of those private schools. I just took a prep test (38) after a two year layoff and got a 160 with only going over the Logic Games Bible. To reach my goals, I think i need a 164-167. Assuming I'll take the LSAT in October, do you think its conceivable that i can get my score up to that level?

BTW: I took a testmasters course four years ago and went through the LGB and LRB. My glaring weakness is reading comp (between 8-12 wrong each time)

Yes, you can. You should probably repurchase the bibles, since presumably yours are all marked up. I had the same problem with reading comp, usually hovering around -11 or so. I was able to score a -1 on the real thing and it certainly wasn't the RC Bible that helped me, it was simply reading; read articles from the Economist, Wall Street Journal, etc., and also novels.

As a follow up to my first question- If i was able to score in the 165-166 range, would Northwestern be a possibility with 4 years of pretty unique work experience?

honestly RC seems to be the x-factor in alot of tests, whether it be low 160s to 165+ or 160's to 170's. RC is naturally my worst section too, but you can improve if you just do sections over and over again, get used to the reading and try to find the article somewhat interesting. I went from missing 8-12 in RC passages on my first PT to missing only 2 on my 3rd PT. You just have to get your brain in reading mode.

Thank you to the two people who took the time to respond. I think i'm going to go ahead and put in the effort for one last attempt at cracking 164-165 and going for Notre Dame/Emroy/WUSTL.
