Or do they update them each year? I have one from like 2005.

They expand them but as far as I can tell (I've seen a few of both the LR and LGB) they don't introduce any groundbreaking techniques. The newer LGB has more practice games with solutions. I'm not sure if there are differences in the LRB or if there's only one edition.

I think it is preferable, since it won't ruin new PTs.
