Whats the best way to deal with the time element?

When I did a logical reasoning section as a whole under 35 minutes I got 9 wrong. When I timed myself and gave myself 1 minute and 45 seconds on each question of the section I got only 3 wrong on the section.

How do you deal with time? When I give myself 35 minutes I do horrible but when I break the time up by individual questions I do great. Same goes with the other sections.

Read the title "dealing with time" & thought that this thread was about an entirely different subject.

I'd really like some personal input. Where is the thread on time?

It sounds like you just have a problem with focusing/endurance. Try doing entire sections with a little extra time, maybe 40 minutes. Once you're feeling comfortable with that, slowly drop it down to 35. And if you're feeling really good about things, try to get it done in 30 (to give yourself a little breathing room on test day). Basically, it's a question of practice and getting comfortable with a full section/test.

Try rattling off the first 10 or 15 questions in 10 or 15 mins respectively. They are usually pretty easy, and you shouldn't really need to spend more than a minute on more than 1 or 2 of them. Then you should have plenty of time left to finish.

The biggest timewaster is spending 3 or 4 minutes on one especially tricky question. I tend to narrow down to 2 or 3 choices and then move on if I have to.
