Here's a diagram and write-up of the game: http://www.atlaslsat.com/forums/game-4- ... -t264.html (not sure why the formatting on the forum is so wonky, but what you need is there).

I hope that helps.

This is a tough question because you can really confuse yourself if you treat "ignore unpleasant realities" and "tell small lies" as two different symbols and start complicating things with ands/ors from contrapositives. If you just treat them as one unit, it becomes pretty simple.

abbreviations:
IRSL - Ignore unpleasant Realities and tell Small Lies
SINC - Sincerity
TR - Trust
SU - Succeed

sentence 1: IRSL --> not SINC
sentence 2: not TR --> not SU

contrapositive of 1: SINC --> not IRSL
contrapositive of 2: SU --> TR

conclusion (sentence 3): SU --> not IRSL

So the missing link is TR --> SINC, which is answer (A)

oops, I thought you were asking about a game in that PT. Here's an explanation for the LR question: http://www.atlaslsat.com/forums/pt48-s4 ... -t743.html

That sort of sloppy reading won't do for the LSAT!

hey thank you so much! i wonder how did you translate the first sentence into a conditional statement. honestly, it took me a while to write a conditional statement based on the original sentence. What words make you think it's a conditional statement?

so the prevent A.. by requirting B should be

NO A -> B ??

I guess I'm thinking too much because I thought prevent A doesn't mean no A.
Thanks!
