Does anyone have any tips on when and how you should try to use hypos to either A. get a better feel for a game or B.solve all possibilities before you attack the questions? I find when I'm under pressure in LG i can never get myself to commit to doing hypos, or I just plain forget to....

In some games its virtually impossible to solve all solutions to a game, and then have time for much else. Solving options is only valuable when setting up games with limited options, when one or two rules can limit the solutions so much that you can come up with 2 or tops three solutions. (Although these solutions may not be entirely filled in.) Definitely set your game up visibly first, but no need (most of the time) for finding all options.

Not true at all.

Um actually it's 100% true.

In my experience (take with a grain of salt, since I'm wildly inconsistent on LG) it's only worth doing hypos if there's some highly restrictive chain of inferences or placements.

Oh, I misread it as saying that solving all the solutions (as in answers) to a game is nearly impossible.
