LSAT PrepTests - more recent more difficult?

I read a couple places on this section of the index that some people are getting lower scores the on more recent PrepTests. I was about to get 1 - 28 and work on those (I have the 29-38 book).

Are people finding that the tests seem to get more difficult as time goes on? I am wondering if it is really worth it at $8 a pop to get the individual more recent tests or to just go for 1- 28.

Thanks!

The more recent tests offer better prep for what you will see come test day. Older tests are good for getting the concepts down and developing the skills needed, but what you'll see on preptest 11 is not near as helpful as what you'll see on preptest 58 in preparing you for test day.

They were for me. I went down like like 2-3 points on average.
